TWO ITIL 4 DESIGNATIONS
There are now two ITIL 4 designations that have replaced ITIL v3’s “ITIL Expert”.
As part of the ITIL 4 certification scheme introduced in early 2020, ITIL Expert, which was ITIL v3’s only designation, was replaced by:
- ITIL 4 Managing Professional (MP)
- ITIL 4 Strategic Leader (SL)
ITIL 4 STRATEGIC LEADER (SL) DESIGNATION
Achieving the ITIL 4 Strategic Leader (SL) designation (right-hand component of the image) demonstrates that you have a clear understanding of how IT influences and directs business strategy.
In acquiring the designation, you will learn how to create a culture of continual improvement by utilizing ITIL’s service value system (SVS) model and its many components together with Lean, Agile, and DevOps. There is also a focus on building an innovative culture and balancing legacy technologies with ways of working with new and emerging ones.

ITIL 4 LEADER: DIGITAL AND IT STRATEGY – COURSE OVERVEW
ITIL 4 Leader: Digital and IT Strategy is a four-day certification course and is at the core of the ITIL 4 Strategic Leader (SL) designation.
The course focuses on the challenges associated with developing a digital strategy as well as highlighting how to align a digital business strategy with an IT strategy for business success. This course adds a new perspective to the ITIL suite and elevates the discussion around ITIL concepts to a strategic level among IT business leaders and aspiring leaders.
The course is unique in that it is a very hands-on and interactive course that includes case-study assignments that are graded in-session and that contribute to the final exam mark.

The main focus of the course agenda is on the following ITIL 4 practices:
- Architecture Management
- Measurement and Reporting Management
- Risk Management

PREREQUISITES

CASE STUDY, EXAM, AND CERTIFICATION
- ITIL 4 Leader: Digital and IT Strategy includes four graded case study assignments that are completed during the course and a multiple-choice exam taken subsequent to the training course.
- Candidates must pass all the case study assignments to take the exam. This will be confirmed to candidates by an accredited trainer.
- After completion of this course, you may apply for self-directed learning PDUs through PMI. Letter of attendance is available upon request.

Materials for this course will only be provided as downloadable soft copy files that can be viewed on a variety of devices. Attendees may print a hard copy of the files in whatever format best meets their needs, and can use the files under the Pink Elephant Terms of Use.
